COVID precautions will be in place where required

​Tariff & Booking Terms

• Prices are per room and include breakfast
• Single occupancy of a room may be available from £60: please mention when booking
• Minimum stay is two nights. This may vary at different times of the year.
• We are open all year, but closed during Christmas and New Year; family occasions and holidays

Arrival and Departure

• Rooms are available from 4pm on day of arrival and departure should be before 10.30am.
• If you are arriving on one of the later boats, please let us know your approximate time of arrival.

Deposit & Payment

• We require a deposit equal to the first night's stay to secure your booking. The balance will then be payable the night before your departure.
• Deposit is non-refundable.
• Payment of the deposit may be made by bank transfer, cheque, credit card, or PayPal invoice.
• We accept credit cards (not American Express) and there are no surcharges levied on credit /debit card payments.

Cancellations

• Note that under Scottish Law, reservations - even those by verbal agreement - are legally binding.
• Intending guests are advised to take out Travel Insurance (For example, adverse weather, particularly out with the summer season, can seriously disrupt ferry and flight schedules).
• In the event of a cancellation, you will not be held liable to pay the full balance. However, the deposit will be forfeited if you fail to let us know more than 5 days before the date you are due to arrive at Burnside Farm.
• Charges (paypal etc) paid by us will be recouped in the event of a cancellation.
• If for any reason we are unable to provide the booked accommodation or part of it, we will endeavor to provide an alternative in Scottish Tourist Board 3 or 4 star rated accommodation.
  
• Where it proves impossible to find alternative accommodation of that standard, we will provide the next best available.

• No smoking in the farmhouse

Disabled Access

• Burnside Farm is not suitable for wheelchair users as all our guest rooms are upstairs.

Children

• We don't have facilities for young children, but we do have a travel cot for babies and infants

Car Parking

• Our premises have ample off-road parking available. 
• Burnside Farm does not accept any responsibility for damage or theft from vehicles parked within the premises.

Fire Safety

• A fire blanket is available in the kitchen and there is a fire extinguisher located inside the garage (right side). Our house is fitted with smoke detectors.
  
• Steam from the bathrooms can trigger them if the extractor fans are turned off when you are showering. Please do not switch these off.

Damage

• Guests are responsible for their room and are expected to take all reasonable care.
